The Brazilian Butt Lift has been in the media over the past few days.
A study in 2017 collected data from approximately 5,000 plastic surgeons, the outcome showed the mortality rate of Brazilian butt Lift patients was much higher than anyone expected – about 1 in 3,000.
It must be noted that most of these Plastic Surgeons do not perform cosmetic procedures full-time (as Plastic Surgeons also perform reconstructive procedures) and many have not had specific training in the Brazilian Butt Lift. Dr Murray has completed training specific to the Brazilian butt Lift and has been performing the procedure for a long time. He does a modified, safer version.
The biggest concern with this procedure is injecting the fat into the muscle or into the blood vessels. This would cause the fat to travel to the heart and cause a heart attack. The safer, recommended way is to only inject it into the buttock and more specifically the upper half so that the lower blood vessels and nerves are not damaged.
We take many precautionary measures to reduce risks with the Brazilian Butt Lift including:
Dr Murray has been trained by Sydney Coleman who is one of the developers of fat transfer and Brazilian Butt lift.
If you’re thinking about a Brazilian Butt Lift, go to a practitioner that has been specifically trained in Brazilian Butt Lift, not just fat transfer. Fat transfer to the other areas of the body is not as risky.
