Are you a suitable candidate?
If you have the desire to rid yourself of loose, sagging tissue on the face and neck, and you’re in good physical, emotional and mental health, with normal skin thickness and you have realistic expectations, you may be a good candidate for a mini face lift.
If your skin is quite slack in the area you may opt for a face, brow and neck lift instead, or a combination with laser resurfacing and fat transfer. Only a qualified professional will be able to determine your individual needs.
Also, if you’re considering losing weight, you may want to wait until after your target weight is achieved, because you may need additional lifting or skin removal surgery to alleviate consequent excess skin. Otherwise, you may be wasting money on this procedure if you proceed beforehand.
What happens after the treatment?
Patients will find their facial movement limited for the first 2 weeks. It may also hurt to laugh. Avoid massage or facial pressure for 1 month. The maximum tensile strength usually occurs at 21 days.
There are often immediate results, however, these continue to improve over a 3-6 month period. This improvement is due to the collagen synthesis and lifting and bunching effect.
