What is the MonaLisa Touch?

The Mona Lisa Touch works by stimulating the body’s own regenerative process to create more hydrated and healthy cells to improve the circulation and nutrient supply to the vaginal mucosa.  This has a direct effect on the integrity and elasticity of the vaginal wall and returns the internal vaginal environment to more normal levels.

How many treatments are required?

Each patient varies in the number of treatments required, depending on the severity of their symptoms. However, generally it’s recommended that for tightening, 1-2 treatments will be required, and to treat vaginal atrophy and associated problems, usually, 3-5 treatments will be required.

Treatments take around 15 minutes and should be spaced 4-6 weeks apart, with a maintenance treatment suggested approximately every 12 months.

MonaLisa Touch aftercare

Following treatment, some women report a slight discomfort, some redness and/or swelling. This usually disappears in one or two days. It’s recommended that you avoid heavy exercise, lifting weights and hot baths during this healing time.

Most patients notice a difference a few weeks after their first treatment, once the area has had time to heal and rejuvenate. Further treatments will continue to enhance the improvements.
