What happens after the treatment?
Once the initial production of elastin and collagen have been stimulated by the treatment, the ‘factories’ producing these healing chemicals can continue to work for several months. As time goes by, your results may improve.
This is an extremely popular treatment although the evidence is mostly anecdotal.
Skin rolling may be done using a topical anaesthetic cream and once the skin is fully anaesthetised, you should not feel any discomfort. If further anaesthesia is required, a small amount of conscious sedation may be used. It is not recommended to drive for 24 hours after the use of this sedation.
Do I need further treatments?
The optimum period between treatments is currently 1 to 3 months. This may change with increased industry experience with this unique treatment. The procedure can be very effective, especially in combination with other treatments.
