What is YAG Laser Tattoo Removal?

Laser treatments have many beneficial applications in cosmetic medicine, including skin rejuvenation, hair removal, acne treatment, scar reduction, pigmentation treatment and tattoo removal.

Laser tattoo removal is a safe and effective treatment performed using a specialised type of laser called a Q-switched Nd:Yag. This laser works by delivering rapid pulses of light energy to the skin. The pulses are absorbed by the ink in the tattoo, shattering the pigment molecules into smaller, individual particles. These particles are then broken down and metabolised by the body.
