What are eyebags?
Swelling of the eye, also referred to as periorbital puffiness, is due to excess fluid (edema) in the connective tissues around your eye, most commonly the eyelids. Eyebags occur for many reasons, including inherited facial features, allergies, stress, eye fatigue and individual skin characteristics, such as texture.
Tear Troughs can often be mistaken for eyebags. Tear troughs are the groove that sits between your lower eyelid and your cheeks. They create a hollow at the junction between the lower eyelid and the cheek. In many cases, tear troughs are genetic rather than a result of ageing, and often arise in your early twenties.
