Male pattern baldness (Androgenic Alopecia) is the most common form of hair loss. Patterned hair loss in women is identified as hair thinning and for many, the symptoms of hair loss will have a significant adverse effect on the individual’s quality of life, often becoming an ongoing cause of psychosocial distress. Hair loss can affect anyone, from a variety of ages and ethnicities, more commonly beginning between the ages of 30 – 40 years old.

Hair thinning in women can look quite different from how it would with men. Some common signs that your hair might be thinning, are listed here –

  • Your hair-part is more noticeable than it once was, potentially a bit wider than normal.
  • You are noticing more hair in your brush or combs.
  • Hair is shedding on your pillow.
  • An increase of hair shedding in the shower after washing your hair.

So, before we continue, what are the causes of hair loss?

  • Diet and Lifestyle factors (including vitamin or mineral deficiencies)
  • Genetics
  • Hormonal Changes
  • Over-Processing and Over-Styling
  • Menopause
  • Stress
  • Pregnancy, to name a few common culprits!

Now the good news!

Regenera Activa is an innovative non-surgical method of hair restoration that is now available at Absolute Cosmetic.

The treatment uses the individual’s own tissue to prevent mild to moderate androgenetic alopecia and excessive hair thinning.  The objective of Regenera Activa is to slow down the natural rate of hair loss.

The Regenera Activa Hair Loss Treatment

Step 1: Your doctor will mark up an area on the scalp, of which a biopsy will be obtained. The area chosen to take the biopsy from is where the hair is still dense and not affected by baldness. A small amount of hair may need to be shaved in order to attain precision.

Step 2: A local anaesthetic is injected into the site where the biopsy is taken. The number of samples collected will depend on varying factors; individual to each patient. The samples are then processed by the Regenera Activa device. This process further isolates the samples into hundreds of thousands of cells that have potent regenerative abilities.

Step 3: The solution is then injected into the scalp, where hair loss or thinning is experienced. This process will initiate and stimulate hair follicle regeneration.

FAQ

WHAT RESULTS CAN BE EXPECTED?

REGENERA stabilises the progression of androgenetic alopecia while boosting the vitality of the affected hair.

WHEN WILL I SEE THE RESULTS?

Each case is treated on an individual basis, and it is important to remember that results will vary with each individual.

Factors such as age and genetics will contribute to each patient’s results.

Microscopically, subtle results may begin to show within one month of treatment. Towards the FOURTH MONTH mark, changes in quality and number of hairs and a high hair density will be prevalent.

CAN I HAVE REGENERA ACTIVA IF I’VE  HAD A HAIR TRANSPLANT?

Yes, you can. Every patient is different, so a consultation is required to determine the suitability of treatment.

IS THE HAIR LOSS TREATMENT PERMANENT?
Results from treatment may last between one and three years. Regenera is not a permanent treatment, however, for best results, we recommend maintenance treatment which can be performed every 1-2 years.

If you have yet to do so, we suggest that you contact your doctor for an initial evaluation to consider other health issues before booking an appointment to discuss Regenera Activa as a hair loss solution for you.
