How does the Non-Surgical Eyelid Lift work?

The Plasma eyelift is a high voltage, low current skin tightening medical device. Results are achieved with a ‘spark’ that generates heat, creating contraction and tightening of the skin’s fibres.

The treatment does not involve cutting, burning, or removing skin or tissue. The device uses direct current (DC) voltage, meaning that the surrounding tissue is not damaged.

What happens during the Non-Surgical Eyelid Lift procedure?

The treatment area will be numbed for the comfort of the patient. The Doctor will draw out the treatment area. The patient will experience some heat from the spark created but it is very tolerable. The electric voltage to the skin sets off a cascade of physiological processes which results in cell membrane tightening.

What happens after the Non-Surgical Eyelid Lift procedure?

Immediately after the procedure, you will notice swelling which may increase for up to 24 hours, and you will be swollen for up to 7 days. It is recommended that patients apply a thin layer of serum to the treated area several times per day. At around day four, small scabs will form. It is important that you do not pick these scabs, and allow them to fall off naturally; this should prevent any scarring.  You may see results once the swelling reduces, the results will continue to improve for up to 8 weeks.
